Upon entering the welcome screen, you are presented with intuitive options to begin. Here, you can easily select the specific type of your beloved pet before proceeding to either click the prominent "Scan Barcode" button to utilize your device's camera for a quick scan of your product, or, for added convenience, you have the alternative to manually input the barcode digits directly.

With this feature, you can effortlessly scan a product's barcode to instantly identify ingredients that might be harmful or require caution for your beloved pet. Should a product's barcode not yet be associated with an entry, you're asked to download the Open Food Facts app and adding the product to their comprehensive database, ensuring valuable information for all pet owners.

By simply clicking the dedicated "Details" button, you will gain access to a comprehensive and in-depth description explaining precisely why certain ingredients might pose a risk to your cherished pet. This empowers you with a thorough understanding, allowing you to make fully informed decisions for their well-being.

In the settings, you have the opportunity to design your very own personalized pet. You can give it a unique name, and specify any intolerances to ensure optimal results. Should you change your mind or no longer need a pet, you can also easily delete it here at any time.

All these features are available in light-mode as well as in darkmode.

This app was built with Expo and coded in TypeScript for a smooth and responsive experience. Upon scanning, the app dynamically requests product information from the Open Food Facts API at runtime. This app is set to be published soon in the Google Play Store.
